Deep in the jungle of Flores lies Wae Rebo, a village hidden beneath layers of forest and mountain. We  only discover it after hiking through trees that seem to guard its secret. Standing in the middle of the village, I felt as if the forest itself was whispering stories of the Manggarai tribe who have lived here for generations. It felt as if an invisible gate surrounds this place, quietly separating it from the outside world and protecting something rare and ancient.
