Between Crowds and Quiet. My Budapest Journey
Budapest has a lot to offer, stunning Gothic architecture, the grand Parliament building, rich and flavorful Hungarian goulash, and the iconic Széchenyi Thermal Bath are definitely my favorites. But honestly, the city feels a bit overcrowded. So I decided to explore beyond the tourist hotspots and traveled to Gödöllő, Szentendre, and Vác.
Szentendre really captured my heart. It’s just a short trip from Budapest, but it feels like a different world. I arrived on a windy day, drawn by its folk art and museums. I’ve always had a soft spot for small towns. I believe they hold more secrets, more soul, and more stories waiting to be told. After all, many world-famous people started their journey in small towns. What about you? Do you prefer big cities or quiet towns?
