As a big fan of youth hostels, I appreciate their consistent value, and in Bern, I discovered that the Bern Youth Hostel is one of the most beautiful I’ve ever encountered. Built in 1955/56 and designed by Peter Indelmühle, the hostel’s modern and stunning architecture is ideally located beside the Aare River. After spending three days and two nights in Bern, I found it to be a perfect place to unwind after a long trip. The city itself is peaceful, with many people simply relaxing in various corners of town.
