A Dream in the Dunes: Swimming in Lençóis Maranhenses
In the far reaches of northern Brazil lies a place where sand and water blur into a landscape of dreams: Parque Nacional dos Lençóis Maranhenses. The journey here from Manaus took 15 hours, but when I arrived, the miles of untouched sand dunes, shaped by relentless coastal winds, made every moment worth it. I watched the white sands come alive in the breeze, each grain part of a mesmerizing dance. And when I slipped into one of the crystal-clear lagoons, it was like diving into a dreamscape, surrounded by the dunes’ graceful sway—a truly breathtaking moment of harmony with nature. In the evening, it’s hard to miss the beautiful sunset.
