My Journey Across Golden Horizons. Namibia
Arriving in Namibia during winter, I followed the Hidden Wonders Route, a journey that combines the raw beauty of Namib Naukluft National Park with the living heartbeat of Etosha National Park.
At Namib Naukluft, Sand Dune 65 and Big Daddy rose before me like giants, and the climb up followed by the descent into Deadvlei left me breathless. In that surreal scene, death came alive; blue skies, orange dunes, brown trees, and white clay forming nature’s purest Pantone palette.
Driving north, I passed Walvis Bay and Swakopmund, where bad weather canceled many visits. Yet Namibia had its way of compensating during the dry season, golden grasslands stretched endlessly, painting the horizon with a glow that stayed with me all the way.
In Etosha National Park, my safari unfolded at the waterholes, where animals gathered naturally to drink. Elephants, zebras, giraffes, and predators shared the same stage, offering me a rare glimpse of nature’s theater found nowhere else on earth.
Namibia revealed its soul to me in two voices, landscapes that awakened my senses and wildlife that stirred my spirit, all tied together by a golden horizon that followed me from south to north.
