Victoria Falls. Where Earth Split and Rainbows Were Born
I often imagine Victoria Falls being born in a single night when the earth split and rivers rushed to fill the wound, leaving behind one of the world’s most breathtaking wonders.
To me, the falls are like a wise old lady, her long white hair flowing endlessly with dignity and grace. Shared between Zimbabwe and Zambia, this natural wonder is also the kingdom of rainbows, appearing like loyal companions in her mist.
From above, on a helicopter ride, the story deepens: the falls reveal their “giant crack,” raw and powerful. But from the park below, another world emerges. I stood beside a rainbow, closer than I ever dreamed as a child. Walking along the edges, the spray danced around me, wrapping me in energy. It felt like the opposite of a safari, less about silence and watching, more about movement and immersion.
